Shalitha S Johnson

Shalitha was officially diagnosed with lupus at age 9, with symptoms beginning as early as age 7 and critical organ involvement by age 11. Years of hospitalizations, medical uncertainty, and physical limitations were further compounded by the development of anxiety and depression, conditions that, like lupus, often remain unseen by the human eye.

These experiences shaped a powerful vision: to create a safe, inclusive space for individuals living with chronic and invisible illnesses, particularly those with marginalized identities, to feel supported, understood, and empowered.

Too often, individuals living with chronic illness endure pain in silence due to fear, stigma, bias, and a lack of support. Shalitha set out to eliminate these barriers through advocacy, education, mental health support, and meaningful community connection.

With both lived experience and academic training, including a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology, she applies knowledge, compassion, and professional expertise to promote healing, self-advocacy, and hope.

Because what is unseen should never be unsupported, and no one should have to fight their battles alone. 💜
